2014-08-03 – Get your lies out now, because come October 1 it will be “the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.”

October 1 is Diogenes Day, but not many people know this. The first Diogenes Day was last year. To be perfectly honest, it wasn’t much. We need to spread the word, people.

For those who don’t know about this new holiday, Diogenes Day is the anti-April Fools’ Day. It is the day for telling the truth.

Yes, I know your mom told you to tell the truth at all times. And I’m good with that. But, let’s face it, we’ve gotten kinda lax with the truth, haven’t we. Telling the truth one day a year might be all we have energy for to begin with. You gotta start somewhere.

So tell your friends to hold the date. As I said, it’s October 1. That will be a Wednesday this year. It’s really kinda fun.
