
2021-12-09 – You usually reboot your computer when something’s gone wrong and you don’t know any other way to fix it. If you call for technical assistance, you know that the first thing they’ll ask you is whether you turned it off and on. Rebooting often works, so why not?
Will rebooting work IRL? (That’s “in real life.”)
When COVID hit almost two years ago, a reboot seemed in order. We turned it off, but it’s taken a while to turn it back on again. And it remains to be seen whether any problems will have been fixed.
