2017-07-13 – I don’t have any more information than you do. But, while everyone is getting all excited about Don Jr.’s emails about his meeting last year with Natalia Veselnitskaya, I’m thinking:

This is a nothing burger.

I realize that this opinion puts me in unsavory company. Republican loyalists have been going around saying the same thing. But it seems to me that they’ve been saying it with a little too much insistence, like they’re trying to sell something.

Covfefe.

Could it be that the Trump forces are simply confident that Democrats are so desperate for a “smoking gun” that they’d embrace anything? No matter how stupid it is.

And we’re all laughing our heads off at how stupid Don Jr.’s story is and hopeful that our national misery could be coming to an end, that were not really taking the time to say:

This is really stupid. This is a Three Stooges story.

As the story stands now we’re supposed to believe that Donald Trump Sr. became President as a result of some goofy meeting that took place at the instigation of a celebrity promoter in the first week of June of 2016. Nothing happened before that.

And so we’re looking and laughing at pix taken from the promoter’s Facebook page and making fun of Natalia Veselnitskaya’s name and getting giddy about how Trump’s no-collusion story is unraveling.

I’m thinking that this comedy show is not the real story—and it’s been offered to us to stop the investigation of The Real Story.

I don’t have an ounce of proof. But what we have in front of us as the supposed answer to all our questions doesn’t answer anything.
