2015-11-10 – I see we’re all getting into the holiday spirit. Starbucks has released its holiday cups. And Christians are up in arms because the cups have a solid red background unadorned by snowflakes or other symbols of the season.

Or are they?

We’ve certainly seen a lot of chatter about this on the Internet. But apparently not from many Christian groups.

Trump is on this of course. Yesterday he told a crowd in Springfield “Maybe we should boycott Starbucks? I don’t know. Seriously, I don’t care.” Way to be decisively on both sides of this issue Donald!

But from rank-and-file Christians? Meh!

The hullabaloo is coming from folks who want to gin up the “War on Christmas” yet again this year: Right-wingers who want to inflame Christians and left-wingers who want to scream about how stupid right-wingers are.

Well here’s what I have to say to them all: F* you!

Now, before you get your nose out of joint, let me point out that I didn’t say “fuck you.” That’s not what I mean at all. What I’m sending out to you is a festive holiday—

F* YOU!

With a festive holiday spelling, complete with a snowflake (or if you are devout, it’s a Christmas star).

When I was a kid the annual campaign was “Keep Christ in Christmas.” We don’t hear of that these days.

These days the national religion seems to be Anger. So it is fitting that the annual holiday campaign seems to be “Keep the * in F* You.”
