2015-08-23 – As we learn about the heroism of three Americans and a Brit who disrupted a potential terrorist attack on a train to Paris, a thought crossed my mind:

They didn’t use a gun!

How can that be? How is it possible to take down a well-armed man with your bare hands? I thought that the “only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is with a good guy with a gun.” That’s what the NRA tells us.

It must be a fluke. I mean: as a society, we can’t rely on courage to subdue these criminals. We need to be packing heat.
