2013-10-20 – One of the arguments against evolution is the perfection of God’s creation. Evolution, apparently, can’t arrive at a creature as noble as man.

I’m not sure who can say this with a straight face. Hamlet either didn’t believe it when he said:

What a piece of work is a man! How noble in reason, how infinite in faculty! In form and moving how express and admirable! In action how like an Angel! in apprehension how like a god! The beauty of the world! The paragon of animals! 

Or he thought it did not matter.

For what’s so perfect? Do our bodies work without pain? Do our mind work without evil and folly?

The God who created man created a creature who is susceptible to cancer. Cancer resistance exists in the world. It exists in the naked mole rat. In fact, all their bodily functions are built to ensure health to the very end due to a system of protein creation that is better than ours.
